privacy policy
effective May 4, 2026
this policy describes how claw alarm ("the app",
"we", "us") collects and uses information when you use the iOS app
and the websites at claw-alarm.com and
openclaw.ai. claw alarm is published by OpenClaw and is
designed as a thin, privacy-respecting bridge between your iPhone's
Apple AlarmKit alarms and your openclaw assistant.
what we collect
account & pairing
when you pair your phone to your claw, we mint a per-device bearer token and a pair code. we store an opaque device identifier, the bearer token, and the openclaw account it is linked to. we do not collect your name, email address, photos, contacts, location, or microphone input.
alarm data
your alarms — the time, label, recurrence, and on/off state — are stored on your device and synced to our servers so your claw can read and modify them. alarm data is scoped to your device token and is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
push notifications
if you allow notifications, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) issues a per-install push token that we store and use to send silent re-sync pushes when your claw changes an alarm. you can revoke this in iOS Settings at any time; the app continues to function without it.
diagnostics
we collect minimal server-side request logs (timestamps, IP address, rough request shape, and error codes) for abuse prevention and debugging. these logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not linked to any personal identifier beyond your device token.
how we use your data
- to ring, snooze, edit, and clear alarms on your device.
- to let your claw read and change those alarms on your behalf.
- to keep multiple paired devices on the same openclaw account in sync.
- to diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
we do not use your data to train AI models, build advertising profiles, or sell to data brokers.
third-party services
- Apple AlarmKit / APNs — required to ring alarms through silent and Focus modes and to deliver re-sync pushes.
- Cloudflare — hosts our worker, edge cache, and static site. cloudflare may process request metadata as part of operating the platform.
your choices
- delete your account. open the app, go to Settings, and choose "delete account & data". this removes your bearer token, alarm records, and push token from our servers.
- revoke notifications. turn off notifications for claw alarm in iOS Settings; we'll stop receiving a push token on next launch.
- uninstall the app. uninstalling removes the device-side token and stops any further sync. server-side records tied to that device are pruned automatically over time.
data retention
alarm data is retained for as long as you keep the app installed and paired. when you delete your account, all server-side records associated with your device token are deleted within 30 days. request logs are retained for up to 30 days regardless.
children
claw alarm is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
changes
we may update this policy as the product evolves. material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, surfacing an in-app notice on next launch.
